WPS suspends 2012 season, eyes ’13 return

wps logo.jpgWomen’s Professional Soccer announced today that it will suspend the 2012 season after a vote by its board of governors. According to a news release, the move was made to allow the league “to focus on the resolution of certain pending legal issues and the challenges that now face (WPS) as a result of its ongoing dispute with a former owner.”

The former owner in question is Dan Borislow. Read more about that story here.

WPS plans to return to play in 2013.
