MLS releases 2012 reserve league schedule

MLS Logo.jpgEach MLS team will play 10 reserve league games in 2012 and the schedule was released by the league on Monday. Additional games can be scheduled against non-MLS opponents. At the end of the year, the team with the most points out of all three conferences will be named the MLS Reserve League champion.

CONFERENCES

Western: Chivas USA, LA Galaxy, Portland Timbers, San Jose Earthquakes, Seattle Sounders, Vancouver Whitecaps FC

Central: Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Sporting Kansas City, Real Salt Lake

Eastern: Columbus Crew, D.C. United, Montreal Impact, New England Revolution, New York Red Bulls, Philadelphia Union, Toronto FC

SOUNDERS FC’s 2012 SCHEDULE

From the club: “There is no charge for admission at Sounders FC Reserves home matches. However donations will be accepted at the gate ($5 suggested) with proceeds directed toward the Sounders FC community partners. Parking is $5 or free with a Starfire membership.”

Monday, March 26 — at Vancouver Whitecaps FC, 11 a.m. (University of British Columbia)

Tuesday, April 10 — vs. Portland Timbers FC, 7 p.m. (Starfire)

Monday, April 23 — at Chivas USA, 11 a.m. (Home Depot Center)

Friday, June 1 — vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC, 7 p.m. (Starfire)

Tuesday, July 24 — at Los Angeles Galaxy, 11 a.m. (training or University field)

Monday, August 6 — vs. Los Angeles Galaxy, 7 p.m. (Starfire)

Sunday, August 12 — at San Jose Earthquakes, 11 a.m. (Nutrilite Training Field)

Sunday, September 9 — vs. Chivas USA, 11 a.m. (Starfire)

Sunday, September 16 — at Portland Timbers FC, 2 p.m. (JELD-WEN Field)

Tuesday, September 25 — vs. San Jose Earthquakes, 7 p.m. (Starfire)
