UPDATE 10:10 a.m. — Here it is.

For the first time this year, the Sounders will train at CenturyLink Field later this morning. It will be Seattle’s first practice on the brand new FieldTurf surface that was installed this month, and also the first practice for the many newcomers at their home stadium.

I’ll have updates throughout the day. Until then, here are some links:

* * *

— Goalkeeper Andrew Weber and his twin brother, Elliot, were the last team to qualify for the next stage of CBS’s reality series “The Amazing Race” yesterday. Afterward, Elliot tweeted that Andrew has indeed signed a contract with the Sounders, so look out for that announcement in the next couple days.

— Former broadcaster Arlo White caught up with a couple familiar faces in Montreal. The crazy thing is there are more former Sounders playing for the expansion Impact not in the picture.

— Speaking of which, Mike Fucito scored a goal for Montreal in preseason action Sunday. Sebastien Le Toux tallied another for Vancouver.

— Here’s a good profile on Chris Wondolowski, a late bloomer who’s now starring in MLS with San Jose and worked himself into the national team picture.

— Three players have been forced to withdraw from USMNT camp leading into Wednesday’s friendly in Genoa: Timmy Chandler (hamstring), Landon Donovan (bronchitis), and Jose Torres (right hamstring strain) have all been forced to withdraw from the squad. Brek Shea and Sacha Kljestan were added to the squad and another move could be coming later today.

Here’s a roundup of some American action abroad, with forward Jozy Altidore putting in a great performance.

— Liverpool held on to win the Carling Cup in a wild one with Cardiff City on Sunday. A late equalizer from the lower-league underdog sent the game into a penalty-kick shootout.

— So which goal was better the other day? Leo Messi‘s free kick or Cristiano Ronaldo‘s back heel?

— Lastly, here’s another reason why Messi is so adored worldwide. He doesn’t dive:
