I’m sure it’s been a long wait for many of you, but today is a Sounders FC game day. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at CenturyLink Field against Mexico’s Jaguares de Chiapas.
No tickets are needed for tonight’s preseason game, the final tuneup for Seattle’s starters. Admission is free with donations collected at the gate. Just stroll down to the stadium and there will be a seat waiting for you. Gates open at 6 p.m.
For those that can’t make it, KONG-TV 6/16 will have a broadcast of sorts. It’s actually a televised preseason special from 7 to 9 p.m., which will feature interviews and other preview material. There will be some game coverage (e.g. goals and highlights). As has been mentioned before, it’s a bit of a soft opening for the broadcast team.
