The world is getting wrapped up in UEFA Champions League action — and rightfully so considering the drama so far. That continues this afternoon as Real Madrid (facing a 2-1 series deficit) hosts Bayern Munich in a semifinal second leg for a chance to meet Chelsea in the final. It should be exciting.
But don’t forget about the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final between Mexican rivals Monterrey and Santos Laguna.
Behind a stellar performance from forward Humberto Suazo, who had two goals in the first leg, Monterrey owns a 2-0 series advantage, but Santos and forward Herculez Gomez are confident in a comeback at home.
Worth noting: The Sounders beat both of these teams earlier in this competition.
