Coach Sigi Schmid gave us more of an update Friday. As we know, Gspurning is out and Weber is expected to be on the bench. Here’s some of the rest:

“They’re all coming along,” Schmid said. “Patrick was fine and got through everything today. Alvaro feels pretty good, but he feels (the injury) a little on certain movements. We have to make a decision there: Is he a starter? Is he on the bench? We have to decide there.

“With our other players, it’s just fatigue a little bit and we have to weigh that fatigue right now and see where guys are at. With all the technology that we have, one of the reasons we have it is to try to avoid putting guys into situations where their chances of injury increase dramatically. That’s what we’re looking at right now. Part of that will determine our final lineup.”

On a side note, Ford has been placed on the disabled list and won’t be eligible for an MLS return until June 16. He’s been dealing with the knee issue last last year. He’ll still be eligible for U.S. Open Cup action in the meantime.
