With a franchise-best 6-1-1 start to this season and a strong run at the end of 2011, Seattle is 21-6-7 in its past 34 games with the most goals scored (57) and a goal differential that’s tied for the best (+24).
It should be noted that six of the Sounders’ eight games this season have been at home, and Jeff Sagarin’s rating has them as playing the easiest schedule in MLS so far. But Kansas City also had an extended run at home at the end of last year.
In point-per-game this season, Seattle is first at 2.375 followed by Sporting KC (2.33), San Jose (2.2) and Real Salt Lake (2.0).
