Comments from coach Sigi Schmid are a little different than this report. His report from Monday made it seem like Evans is more probable and Gonzalez is more questionable. I would think Evans and Fernandez will be available and the others won’t.

Interestingly, Columbus is the only team in the league with more players listed on the injury report (10) than Seattle (9).

Schmid wasn’t very sympathetic about that Monday: “When you’re playing a bunch of new guys, you don’t know them as well as you know the other players, so it makes it little more difficult for your team. We have our own injuries to worry about and our own things to deal with, so I don’t feel any remorse for any other team. Obviously they’re going to have a different lineup, so guessing their lineup right now is going to be a little bit more difficult.”

On Tuesday, Schmid had these thoughts: “They’re a team that’s been around .500. They’re a team that’s had some good games and also is suffering through a lot of injuries and overcoming those, so they’ve had to shift their lineup around a lot. But there are some guys playing really well right now. Justin Meram’s doing well, scoring some goals for them. Obviously (Milovan) Mirosevic is a good player. I know he got taken out early last game, so we don’t know if he’ll be out there. But Dilly Duka is about ready to come back — he’s a dangerous player — and Eddie Gaven is always a guy you’ve got to know where he is because he can pop up in some dangerous places on you.”
