— Looks like Christian Sivebaek has found a new home in Denmark, signing a three-year deal with Vejle Boldklub Kolding, a club based in his hometown.
— For the Timbers, there’s some wonder if a loss to the Sounders could cost coach John Spencer his job.
— The timing of the game today should allow for some viewing of the England-Italy Euro 2012 quarterfinal. Of course, interest in the tournament can go too far, as sadly seen in China recently.
— Lastly, some main notes from Saturday’s MLS action: San Jose has leaped to the top of the table in the Western Conference at the expense of Real Salt Lake and the Galaxy are back in contention after a big win vs. Vancouver. LA forward Robbie Keane had a touching tribute in this goal celebration from an Irish fan who died at Euro 2012:
