As I mentioned in my game story for today’s paper, the Sounders’ Open Cup tale is sounding pretty similar. The team earned yet another win, this time in a semifinal against Chivas USA, to go to 17-0-1 in the tournament (including qualifiers) and earn a chance at an unprecedented fourth-straight title.
Also from theCup.us, there aren’t any plans in place for a broadcast yet, but you have to think there will be. A U.S. Soccer spokesman in the story said discussions are ongoing.
