Chelsea announces travel party for U.S. tour

chelsea.jpgUEFA Champions League winner Chelsea FC announced its travel party for a summer U.S. tour that kicks off in Seattle. The English club will face Sounders FC in a friendly Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at CenturyLink Field.

Listed below are the players that make participate in the four-match U.S. tour, which also includes a date against the MLS All-Stars oin July 25 at PPL Park.

Those that didn’t make the trip at Juan Mata, Daniel Sturridge, Ryan Bertrand and Oriol Romeu, as they prepare for the upcoming Olympics.

A handful of players didn’t travel with the group Saturday — Ashley Cole, John Terry, Florent Malouda, Raul Meireles, Fernando Torres — and will join the tour in progress, meaning their available for Wednesday’s game is uncertain.

Defenders: Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, John Terry, David Luiz, Paulo Ferreira, Gary Cahill, Sam Hutchinson, Todd Kane^, Nathaniel Chalobah^

Midfielders: Michael Essien, Ramires, Flourent Malouda, Raul Meireles, Frank Lampard, John Mikel Obi, Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Yossi Benayoun, Josh McEachran, George Saville^

Forwards: Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Torres, Gael Kakuta, Kevin De Bruyne, Patrick Bamford^, Lucas Piazon^
