Video: Chelsea FC took to CenturyLink Field in an open practice Tuesday night

Reigning UEFA Champions League winner Chelsea FC held an open training session Tuesday night at CenturyLink Field and SoundersFC.com was there to gather some video of the event.

The team website of the English visitors caught up with a few high-profile guests including the Sounders and ESPN analyst Alexi Lalas.

“It’s a good opportunity to play superb competition,” Brad Evans told ChelseaFC.com. “We respect the fact they are Champions League winners, we respect what they do and they are a notch above. It’s an honor to step on the field and play with these guys, and hopefully showcase what we have here in Seattle.

“Last year, we faced Man. United and the first half was quality. In the second half, we fell apart a little bit but we still remember it, we still talk about it, so it still means a lot and it’s a great opportunity for our young guys to test themselves against the very best.”
