Just seven “original” MLS Sounders remain

The first MLS game in Sounders FC history was not too long ago, it seems. But for a professional sports team, three-and-a-half years will see a lot of changes.

Need proof? Just look at the roster.

Following the retirement of Roger Levesque, only seven Sounders remain from the team in place for the franchise opener:

Osvaldo Alonso (acquired from Charleston on Jan. 26, 2009)

Brad Evans (acquired via expansion draft on Nov. 26, 2008)

Jhon Kennedy Hurtado (signed on loan on Feb. 18, 2009)

Patrick Ianni (acquired via trade on Jan. 26, 2009)

Fredy Montero (signed on loan on Jan. 21, 2009)

Zach Scott (signed on March 16, 2009)

Steve Zakuani (drafted on Jan. 15, 2009)

What do you make of the turnover? And which “original” MLS Sounder do you think will stay with the team longest?
