Back to work (Monday links)

After a three-day break from action, the Sounders return to the practice field Monday morning.

Eddie Johnson (who did this Facebook chat) and Osvaldo Alonso won’t be with the group, as far as I can tell, as they’ll be training with the MLS All-Stars in preparation for Wednesday’s exhibition against Chelsea FC.

Seattle’s next game is Saturday on the road against the struggling Colorado Rapids.

I’ll have more from practice later today. Until then, here are some links:

* * *

— Toronto FC made a couple trades over the weekend, acquiring forward Eric Hassli from Vancouver and forward Quincy Amarikwa from New York. TFC obviously has a void to fill at the position with Danny Koevermans out for the season.

— The Sporting News had a good Q&A with MLS commissioner Don Garber. Here is part one and part two.

— Goal.com also had a chat with Garber.

— Did you see MLS is going to drop its partnership with Boy Scouts of America?

— Lastly, in a mix of links, Carlos Tevez was a caddy this past weekend, Manchester United has interest in Arsenal’s Robin van Persie, and Bolton’s Fabrice Muamba (who suffered a cardiac arrest on the field in March) carried the Olympic torch Saturday.
