Final: Sounders FC 3, Los Angeles Galaxy 2, reserve-game live thread and box score

Final. Sounders FC 3, LA Galaxy 2. Entertaining reserve game highlighted by Steve Zakuani’s two goals, a great showing from Mario Martinez. Seattle improved to 2-4-1. LA drops to 4-2-1.

90+2′: Zakuani subbed off in stoppage to a nice ovation. He probably could’ve had three or four goals splitting time as a forward and midfielder.

90′: GOAL SEATTLE! Sammy Ochoa with the go-ahead goal to give the Sounders their first lead at 3-2.

84′: GOAL SEATTLE! It’s Steve Zakuani again! A corner kick is flicked on to the far post, where Zakuani finishes the open chance to tie the game at 2-2.

81′: Carrasco just missed high with a free kick. Moises Orozco subs on for Michael Tetteh.

78′: GOAL LA. Michael Stephens puts the Galaxy back ahead 2-1 in the this reserve game with a well-taken goal.

72′: GOAL SEATTLE! It’s Steve Zakuani! He calmly and patiently finishes a breakaway chance set up by Mike Seamon to tie the game at 1-1. Huge ovation from the crowd.

70′: Dan Keat comes on for Brian Gaul.

67′: Mario Martinez comes out after a very strong showing. Dawyne Smith on. Sounders own Smith’s MLS rights but he’s not signed.

64′: Seamon caught offside on the header. He’s had an active half.

62′: Sounders keep pressing and Zakuani is very involved. Scott just missed wide on a header.

61′: Great skill by Martinez this time to set up a Zakuani shot, but it’s blocked.

60′: Great skill by Zakuani to start a breakaway and avoid a tackle. Burch gets it on the left and draws a corner, which Zakuani nearly wins in front of goal.

59′: Scott booked for what looked to be a message tackle. Galaxy players not happy with it.

57′: Ford a bit shaky on that save as the ball gets through him and rolls toward goal. Burch clears.

56′: LA sub: Raul Mendiola in for Bryan Jordan.

54′: Ianni gets a yellow card for dragging down a Galaxy player. He’s booked. That’s his first yellow card as a father.

51′: Breakaway chance for Zakuani as the crowd rises to its feet. He takes a heavy touch though and just misses Seamon on a cut-back pass.

50′: More acrobatic stuff from Ford, who has shown well for himself. Forced an LA attack wide and did well to handle a tricky situation when Carrasco cleared a ball off the line in his direction.

49′: Martinez wins a free kick. Burch takes it. Scott wins it. But it’s too close to Rowe.

47′: LA changes keepers at half, Brian Rowe in for Brian Perk. Josh Ford just came up with another big save moments ago.

46′: Second half is under way. Zakuani starts out up top with Martinez on the left. No changes.

Halftime: LA Galaxy 1, Sounders FC 0. Galaxy up through the Villareal goal. Martinez has shown well in his first 45 minutes.

45+2′: SAVE! Josh Ford with a nice stop on a Noonan chance. The goalkeeper follows that up with a good play on the corner kick.

45′: Zakuani with a nice cross from the left side, but it doesn’t find a target. He’s back to left now with Martinez up front.

40′: Zakuani nearly sets up a left-footed chance for himself, but there’s a little contact and he loses his balance.

39′: Steve Zakuani and Mario Martinez appear to have switched positions. Martinez on the left and Zakuani underneath Ochoa up front.

35′: Goal Galaxy! LA reserves take 1-0 lead as Pat Noonan sets up Jose Villareal in front of the goal for the easy putaway.

28′: Pretty physical game. Martinez getting knocked around. Villareal just needed some attention. Ref letting a lot go.

25′: Boyens booked for taking out Martinez. The new addition takes another dangerous free kick, but Perks grabs it just in front of Scott.

24′: Josh Ford nearly gets an assist, but Sammy Ochoa is wide on his attempt to chip Perk.

23′: Dangerous free kick taken by Martinez, but it skips in the box through everyone.

15′: Carrasco down. I didn’t see what happened, but some fans are claiming he got hit with an elbow.

13′: Garcia just earned a shot for LA but it goes wide. Josh Ford wearing pink in goal today.

12′: And the Galaxy squad:

LA Galaxy reserves: GK Brian Perk, D Oscar Sorto, D Brian Gaul, D Andrew Boyens, D Tommy Meyer, M Kenny Walker, M Bryan Jordan, M Rafael Garcia, M Michael Stephens, F Pat Noonan, F Jose Villareal.

LA Galaxy bench: Brian Rowe, Dan Keat, Sebastian Velasquez, Raul Mediola, Jack McBean

8′: Tetteh with a fierce left-footed drive, but it slams off the post. Tetteh gets another chance a couple minutes later, but has a heavy touch behind the Galaxy defense.

3′: Mario Martinez active early, drawing a corner kick and taking it himself. He found Sammy Ochoa, but his shot went high. The Sounders will be your best option for live update on Twitter and on this live blog.

1′: Late start for me. I was getting an update from rookie forward Babayele Sodade, who has been making good progress from the ACL injury. More of that later. Here is Seattle’s lineup (I’ll post the Galaxy’s soon):

Sounders FC reserves: GK Josh Ford, D Zach Scott (c), D Patrick Ianni, D Daniel Steres, D Marc Burch, M Michael Tetteh, M Servando Carrasco, M Mike Seamon, M Steve Zakuani, F Mario Martinez, F Sammy Ochoa
