2013 season-ticket packages will consist of 17 MLS games — no friendly (Tuesday links)

Seattle Sounders FC Logo.jpgWith the MLS season winding down, Sounders FC fans can renew their season-tickets for 2013 online — and there will be one major change.

The packages will include just the 17 MLS regular-season games and nothing else. That means for the first time at least one friendly isn’t included. Here’s the explanation from the team website:

In 2013, your season ticket plan will simply include all 17 MLS home matches. Tickets for any non-MLS matches will be made available separate from the season ticket plan. Season ticket members will be given first priority to purchase.

Coach Sigi Schmid is featured on the website and says, “We understand that these are the most important matches to you, and we are committed to focusing on them.”
