The MLS Players Union has posted updated salary information on its website. Here are a few notes for Sounders players:

— You’ll notice DP midfielder Christian Tiffert is listed with a $600,000 (tied for the team high with Fredy Montero) and a $625,000 guaranteed compensation (which is behind Montero’s $756,000).

— New goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann is listed at $60,000 (and you might remember he said GM Adrian Hanauer was embarrassed with the salary the team could offer in order to remain under the cap).

— Midfielder Mario Martinez, another newcomer, is listed at $48,000.

— None of the other salaries are different from the last update on Aug. 1.

— Remember that O’Brian White‘s salary does not count against the cap as his contract was bought out before the start of the season.

— These figures provide some insight but aren’t a full picture to what players make. You might remember we had to ask about Mauro Rosales being a DP earlier this year upon learning his listed figures. The answer was Rosales makes money through certain bonuses, royalties and/or marketing work that don’t show up here but count against the cap.

— Anything stand out to you?
