Poll: Who should start for Sounders FC if Eddie Johnson can’t play?

Eddie Johnson was always going to be a long shot to play Friday after he suffered an adductor strain in Sounders FC’s regular-season finale Sunday.

Coach Sigi Schmid said earlier in the week that Johnson had just “an outside chance” of playing in the playoffs opener against Real Salt Lake. The same message was given Thursday.

“Chances are he might not be able to play tomorrow,” said Schmid.

Even in the event that Johnson is available off the bench, that still means someone else will be in the starting lineup. Potential replacement options mentioned Tuesday by Schmid were Sammy Ochoa, David Estrada and Steve Zakuani. A vocal segment of fan base has also clamored for Mario Martinez to assume an increased role.

So what do you think?
