Feedback I’ve been receiving the past few days has been pretty mixed after Sounders FC’s scoreless tie in the first leg of a Western Conference semifinal against Real Salt Lake.
Half-full folks will point out the way Seattle played Friday (only denied by a historic performance by RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando), the team’s four shutouts in the last six games, and the return of leading scorer Eddie Johnson from injury.
Half-empty folks note the daunting task of going to Rio Tinto Stadium without a lead, a 389-minute scoreless streak against Salt Lake, and now the injury worry over Mauro Rosales.
Surely, the majority of you have reasons to be both optimistic and concerned, but which direction are you leaning?
