It’s just about time to get things going in 2013, and U.S. men’s national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann will kick things off by announcing his January camp roster on Sunday.
According to the tweet above from U.S. Soccer, the announcement will come in the 10 a.m. hour on FOX Soccer’s Goals on Sunday.
Sounders FC forward Eddie Johnson has already indicated that he will be involved, which shouldn’t be a surprise. Johnson was a standout at the end of last year in World Cup qualifying, and January camp usually features MLS players since Americans abroad are currently in their league season.
I have speculated that Brad Evans might also get called up. He was a part of January camp last year and was an alternate for the most recent World Cup qualifiers.
Seattle defender Adam Johansson already received his call-up from Sweden for upcoming activities, and you have to think Mario Martinez will be active for Honduras.
Who knows? Maybe Austria will finally give Michael Gspurning a deserved call.
