AZ Alkmaar forward Jozy Alitdore, a U.S. international, was the target of racist chants Tuesday in a Dutch Cup quarterfinal against second-tier Den Boscha.
Altidore fought through it, earning and converting a penalty kick in the 5-0 win for his 20th goal in all competitions this season. More impressive though was his postgame interview after such circumstances, and also a statement released through a publicist.
Well done all around, Jozy.
