Kickoff time updates for two road games (Tuesday links)

Some scheduling notes were passed along by the team the other day.

First off, a May 4 road game at Philadelphia will kick off at 1 p.m. PT now (instead of 4:30 p.m.). Also, an August 10 away match at Toronto FC will start at 4 p.m. (it had previously been listed as TBD).

Both games, plus a June 1 contest at Chivas USA, will be broadcast on KONG 6/16.

Here’s a link to an updated schedule:

* * *

— The NWSL schedule will be coming out around 1 p.m. this afternoon, so look out for that.

— Could James Riley be on his way out of Chivas USA?

— Former Sounders goalkeeper Andrew Weber and his twin brother and partner on The Amazing Race, Elliot, have signed with USL PRO team Phoenix FC. Weber (the one we know) had nothing but good things to say about Seattle and its fans in this video captured by our friend Jose Romero.

— Around the league, Goal.com looks at the difficulty of getting rid of DPs, here’s another look at Jersey Week, and The Soccer Insider breaks down his National Soccer Hall of Fame ballot.

— Also, San Jose has a Tottenham product in camp, The Province has a nice story on a Whitecap who overcame depression, and a talented Galaxy prospect will be out a couple weeks with a foot injury.

— In some New York-related news, De-Ro took a shot at his former club, forward Thierry Henry is open to taking a harsh stance on racism, and The Sporting News takes a broader view of the Red Bulls going into 2013.

— Looks like Brek Shea is off to a good start with Stoke City.

Here’s an interview with FOX Soccer’s new soccer voice Gus Johnson.

Kyle McCarthy is reporting there will be fewer referees in the MLS pool this upcoming season. The hope is to have top referees work more games.

— The U.S. women’s national team will face off against Scotland again Wednesday. On the men’s side, Jermaine Jones chatted with ESPN.com about playing in the UEFA Champions League and Mix Diskerud signed a new deal with Rosenborg.

David Beckham is staying in the news for non-soccer reasons, first off he was spotted at Fashion Week and here’s something about a butt double.

— Lastly, tifo in college basketball?
