Reign FC hopes to have Hope Solo back in early April, closing in on a trade

Reign FC posted a few updates on its Facebook page Monday afternoon…

— First off, the team hopes to have Hope Solo back in early April. The star goalkeeper needs surgery to repair ligament damage in her wrist.

— A trade within the NWSL could be announced this week. (“We’ve got one that is looking pretty good…” the team wrote)

Homare Sawa is expected to be available for a March 17 friendly against INAC Kobe Leonessa in Japan. Seattle will also face Fukuoka J Anclas on March 20. Scarves and t-shirt should be available for purchase when the team gets back from that preseason trip.

— Details on the team’s first friendly should be announced this week.

— Lastly, the team gave this Algarve Cup update: “Teresa Noyola has been added to the Mexican National Team roster for Algarve. She had been left off the roster when it was announced last week. She will join Jenny Ruiz (MX), Megan Rapinoe (USA) and Jess Fishlock (WALES) at the tournament (which runs from March 6 to March 13).”
