Sounders change times of two home games
It’s time to update your schedule. Sounders FC announced a pair of changes to kickoff times Monday.
A June 8 home game against Vancouver will now kick off at 7:30 p.m. (it had been 1 p.m.). It will also be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network (it had been a local broadcast) and, according to one report, could be one of the four regular-season games played in front of a CenturyLink Field at full capacity.
A July 20 home game against Colorado will now kick off at 1 p.m. (it had been 8 p.m.). It will now be broadcast on KONG 6/16 (it had been set to be on the NBC Sports Network). ROOT Sports will carry the game around the region and KOMO2 will have it in Spanish.
Here is a link to an updated schedule.
The Sounders release noted the first move was made “to maximize the opportunity for both Sounders and Mariners fans to access the stadiums. The Mariners are set to host the New York Yankees at 1:10 p.m. on June 8.
