Sounders FC vs. San Jose, lineups

san jose away 2013

SANTA CLARA, Calif.—What a beautiful evening here at Buck Shaw Stadium on the campus of Santa Clara University. Tonight’s kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and KING-5 has the broadcast.

Sounders FC (0-1-1) is on the road for the first time this season and also seeking its first league win. San Jose, which swept Seattle in three regular-season games in 2012, is 1-1-1 so far. The ‘Quakes have allowed the first goal in all three games this year.

The big story coming into this one was the international absences for both sides: Eddie Johnson, Obafemi Martins and Mario Martinez for the Sounders; Victor Bernardez and Justin Morrow are in the same boat for San Jose.

Other injury concerns for Seattle are Brad Evans, Shalrie Joseph and Patrick Ianni (not sure any are expected to be available for this one). I’ll post lineups below when they become available.

Sounders FC lineup: GK Michael Gspurning, D DeAndre Yedlin, D Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, D Djimi Traore, D Leo Gonzalez, M Mauro Rosales, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Andy Rose, M Steve Zakuani, F David Estrada, F Sammy Ochoa

Sounders FC bench: GK Marcus Hahnemann, D Zach Scott, D Marc Burch, M Alex Caskey, M Servando Carrasco, M Lamar Neagle, F Eriq Zavaleta

San Jose lineup: GK Jon Busch, D Ty Harden, D Nana Attakora, D Jason Hernandez, D Dan Gargan, M Shea Salinas, M Rafael Baca, M Sam Cronin, M Ramiro Corrales, F Adam Jahn, F Chris Wondolowski

San Jose bench: GK David Bingham, M Cordell Cato, F Sam Garza, F Walter Martinez, M Brad Ring, D Abu Tommy, F Marcus Tracy

NOTES: Estrada is making his first start since May 26, 2012 (he’s been dealing with injuries). The local boy will have a lot of family members and friends here. Harden is a UW product and Cato is a former Sounder. Mike Fucito not available for San Jose.
