Panama takes lead CONCACAF qualifying, USMNT tied for second after three games

Posted below is a look at the CONCACAF standings in World Cup qualifying following the third round of games in the Hexagonal (there are 10 games total, the top three advances to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the fourth-place team enters a playoff).

Aside from the USA earning a 0-0 tie in Mexico on Tuesday, Panama and Costa Rica earns 2-0 home wins against Honduras and Jamaica, respectively.

Even though Honduras beat the USA, and the USA beat Costa Rica, this is how the standings look when goal differential breaks the tie. Costa Rica is +1, USA is even, and Honduras is -1.
