Sounders FC vs. Real Salt Lake, lineups

rsl away 2013

SANDY, Utah—Welcome to Rio Tinto Stadium on a beautiful Saturday evening.

The Sounders will face Real Salt Lake here at 6 p.m. as both teams look to end 0-2-1 runs. Seattle is looking for its first league win of 2013, but could feature close to a full-strength lineup if coach Sigi Schmid so chooses (remember, there is Tuesday’s CCL game to consider).

The boys in Rave Green are unbeaten in their lasts three regular-season games here, not to mention a playoff win to get the monkey off their back when it came to postseason success.

It has been five games and 399 minutes since RSL has scored against the Sounders.

Many fans are looking forward to the possibility of Obafemi Martins and Eddie Johnson starting together up front for Seattle. I’ll post lineups below when they become available.

*     *     *

Sounders FC lineup: GK Michael Gspurning, D DeAndre Yedlin, D Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, D Djimi Traore, D Marc Burch, M Mauro Rosales, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Brad Evans, M Steve Zakuani, F Obafemi Martins, F Eddie Johnson

Sounders FC bench: GK Marcus Hahnemann, D Zach Scott, D Leo Gonzalez, M Andy Rose, M Alex Caskey, F Sammy Ochoa, F David Estrada

RSL lineup: GK Nick Rimando, D Tony Beltran, D Nat Borchers, D Chris Schuler, D Abdoulie Mansally, M Kyle Beckerman, M Ned Grabavoy, M Sebastian Velasquez, M Luis Gil, F Robbie Findley, F Devon Sandoval

RSL bench: GK Josh Saunders, M Lovel Palmer, D Kwame Watson-Siriboe, M Enzo Martinez, M Javier Morales, F Joao Plata, F Olmes Garcia

Notes: Very strong lineup for the Sounders, highlighted by Eddie Johnson and Obafemi Martins starting at forward. Brad Evans also returns and will play center mid. No Shalrie Joseph in the 18, though.
