Controversy abound in the Sounders-Union game (Tuesday links)

The league website took a look at the controversial plays from the weekend recently, and the Sounders-Union game Saturday featured heavily in the clip.

Red cards. Hand balls. Offsides calls.

The host also took notice of a particular action from Eddie Johnson and wonders if the forward might see some supplemental discipline headed his way. What do you think?

— First off, another piece on Jordan Morris of the Sounders FC academy, who impressed in U.S. U-20 camp and could be back again for a pre-World Cup tuneup tournament later this month.

Soccer America, Philly.com and ProSoccerTalk took a look at some of the player salary information.

— Sporting Kansas City welcomed back forward Kei Kamara recently after the forward’s loan spell with Norwich City ended. Kamara, who will be available Wednesday against Seattle, celebrated with the fans at Chipotle and picked up the tab.

— Around the league, Toronto FC looks set to make a couple additions, the referee assignments for next weekend are out (Mark Geiger will work the Sounders-Dallas game), Chicago wants fair compensation for Robbie Rogers‘ rights, and here’s a video feature on Chivas USA coach El Chelis,

— Regarding Americans abroad, here’s an interesting chat with Mix Diskrerud about his international future and almost joining the Timbers. Also, Timmy Chandler suffered a knee injury that will keep him out a few weeks, Brad Guzan is being linked to a move to West Ham, and Brek Shea remains in Stoke City’s plans for the future.

— Reign FC midfielder Megan Rapinoe was featured in this FOX Soccer story on how different it’s for men to come out in pro sports compared to women. Also, Alex Morgan (who actually trained with Mia Hamm recently, according to this SI.com story) was on the ESPN campus the other day, and here’s a recap.

— Lastly, the goal post was not the friend of this goalkeeper.
