I’ll update this post after we hear from Sounders FC coach Sigi Schmid after Friday’s practice.

Regarding Martins, Zakuani and Joseph, Schmid said, “I think they’re all to greater and lesser extents available, but that’s something we’re going to talk about now. We’re going to make some decisions. We wanted to see how practice was today, and then we’ll make some decisions.”

And more generally, the coach added.

“Everybody wants to play now. We’ve won,” Schmid said. “We haven’t lost, so everybody is feeling a lot healthier as a result. There will be some tough decisions we have to make, because there are some guys who have played well and who don’t necessarily deserve to lose their spot on the field.

“There are also some guys where it’s going to be their third game in eight days, so maybe fatigue will lead to some changes, as well. There are also guys who are coming off of injuries and are able to go, but are they truly able to go 90 minutes? Are they 50-60 minute guys?

“As a coach you have to balance that then and say I can’t have too many guys on the field who I don’t think can get through 90 minutes. I have to make those decisions, as well.”
