Scenarios for the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup were released Wednesday by U.S. Soccer, and the news was much better for the Sounders.
Here is the relevant matchup, assuming Seattle advances past the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL in the second round next week:
Wilmington Hammerheads (USL PRO)/Portland Timbers (MLS) winner at Seattle Sounders (MLS)
Starfire Sports Complex; Tukwila, Wash.
Wednesday, June 12, at 7 p.m. PT

It would be a home game no matter what, but also sets up a pretty crazy second week of June for the Seattle soccer fan if you look at the potential schedule:
June 8 — vs. Vancouver at CenturyLink Field (increased capacity due to four-match pack)
June 11 — USMNT-Panama World Cup qualifier at CenturyLink Field
June 12 — vs. Portland/Wilmington in U.S. Open Cup fourth round (schedule for Starfire Stadium)
It’s always crazy around the Open Cup, as seen with next week’s slate of games and travel.
Any thoughts on the draw?
