Unfortunately for the Sounders, the list is worst than this.
Coach Sigi Schmid said after practice Friday that Obafemi Martins is probably not going to be available; the forward hasn’t fully recovered from a kick to the calf last week in Vancouver. Midfielder Shalrie Joseph is also dealing with a troublesome calf, an issue that stems to when he joined the team, and appears doubtful.
Schmid noted that we’re likely to see yet another starting lineup (Seattle has had 21 different lineups in 21 games this season when including the U.S. Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League).
San Jose’s injuries involve a couple guys with local connections: Harden is a University of Washington product and Fucito is a former Sounder.
