Sounders FC vs. Colorado, injury report

SOUNDERS FCOUT: M Alex Caskey (R ankle surgery), GK Josh Ford (R patella fracture), GK Michael Gspurning (L forearm sprain), GK Marcus Hahnemann (R hamstring strain), M Shalrie Joseph (R calf strain), M Philip Lund (R plantar fasciitis), M Andy Rose (R hamstring strain), M Steve Zakuani (sports hernia surgery). QUESTIONABLE: M Brad Evans (L rib contusion), D Djimi Traore (L hamstring strain).

COLORADO RAPIDSOUT: D Diego Calderon (right knee surgery). QUESTIONABLE: D Kory Kindle (left ankle sprain), M Martin Rivero (left quad strain).

At this point we know all about the issues, but it’s still crazy to see the whole list.

Here is the update from coach Sigi Schmid on the questionable guys after Friday’s practice: “Djimi is probably still not able to go at this stage, should be ready for next week. Brad is somebody we’ll decide whether he’s on the bench or in the starting lineup, but he’ll be in the 18.”

Another guy that appears somewhat close to a return is Rose, who has been fairly active the past few days. Four of them are coming off midseason surgery — Zakuani, Caskey, Lund, Ford — so they’ve still got a little ways to go.

If you missed a previous post, Schmid told KJR-AM that Gspurning will be out at least two weeks, probably more, and there is a very slim and outside chance Hahnemann could be ready for July 28’s home game vs. Chivas USA.
