Sounders FC reserves lose fourth game in a row, fall to 1-5-1 on the season

Seattle Sounders FC LogoIt was no surprise the injury-riddled Sounders had to deep dig to field a team for Sunday’s MLS Reserve League game against Colorado.

A number of trialists and academy players filled out the roster as Seattle lost the Rapids, 3-2, at Starfire Stadium. The reserves have dropped four games in a row and are 1-5-1 on the season.

The Sounders named a couple of the trialists who have been with the team, Sean Cunningham and Seth Moses, young U.S. prospects who have had professional experience in Europe. Cunningham scored one of Seattle’s goals and academy product Henry Wingo scored the other.

There is, of course, another trialist in camp who has been around for a while and is yet to be identified by the team. Indications are he is a more experienced, more talented, a central midfielder and someone the Sounders are considering signing. One reporter snapped a photo of him here.

The reserves are back in action July 29 at home against Chivas USA. Full box score from Sunday’s game after the jump.
