Sounders FC vs. Toronto FC, injury report

SOUNDERS FCOUT: M Steve Zakuani (sports hernia surgery), M Alex Caskey (R ankle impingement), GK Josh Ford (R patella fracture), M Philip Lund (R plantar fasciitis). QUESTIONABLE: F/M Clint Dempsey (illness), GK Michael Gspurning (L forearm sprain), M Shalrie Joseph (L calf strain).

TORONTO FC — QUESTIONABLE: F Danny Koevermans (L calf strain).

Certainly the list is shrinking for Seattle, as only four players are ruled out. Not as clean as Toronto’s report, obviously.

Coach Sigi Schmid noted in the video below that Gspurning and Dempsey were able to travel and practice Friday, good signs regarding their availability. Schmid also confirmed that Dempsey will debut at some point Saturday, but wouldn’t say when or in what role.

When it comes to the long-term injuries, Zakuani looks to be doing most among the field players, followed by Caskey and then Lund. Ford is starting to do light drills, but hasn’t really be incorporated back into training yet.
