Coach Sigi Schmid will hold a conference call later this afternoon, so we should be getting updates then. He had indicated the team is taking it slow with Martins, who had an MRI this week since his ankle hasn’t been recovering as quickly as hoped. Joseph sustained his injury in the Portland game, which he was able to play through for a bit before coming out early in the second half.

New additions to the report are Bates (haven’t heard about his injury) and Remick (who went down in Monday’s reserve game).

Columbus will be severely shorthanded when you look at their injuries, particularly with star Federico Higuain suspended. It looks like Anor and Meram will be available, though.

UPDATE 12:45 p.m. — Schmid said on a conference call that Martins and Joseph did not travel for the game. Results from Martins’ MRI showed it was just a sprain, nothing more, and he is expected back next week. Joseph has an MCL sprain with an uncertain timeline to return.
