Sounders FC 1, Chivas USA 0, video highlights and postgame notes

Posted above are the video highlights from Sounders FC’s 1-0 home win Wednesday against Chivas USA, and here are some notes:

— Sounders FC has the best PPG in MLS (1.72) after earning six wins in seven games for the first time in franchise history.
— Sounders FC is unbeaten in its last 11 at home, 8-0-3 with a 22-8 goal differential, a franchise-best run that is second-longest in MLS this season.
— Sounders FC is unbeaten in its last 11 against Chivas USA at 7-0-4, including five straight wins.
— Sounders FC has matched its best record through 25 games (also had 43 points in 2012 at 12-6-7). A win Saturday would give Seattle its best record through 26 games.
— Sounders FC’s shutout streak of 286 minutes is a season long, seventh best in team history.
— Sounders FC is 37-0-8 when scoring the game’s first goal (12-0-2 this season), the longest active unbeaten run in MLS dating to the end of 2010. The league record is 58 games set by New York.
— Sounders FC has earned three-straight shutouts and hasn’t been shut out in eight games.
— Sounders FC’s last four goals have been on free kicks. Seven this season rank second to FC Dallas, which has 10.
— Sounders FC improved to 9-0-2 when leading at halftime.
— This marked the first time the Sounders have won three-straight by 1-0 scores.
— Lamar Neagle’s sixth goal is a new personal best and ended a 505-minute drought.
— Lamar Neagle has four game-winners this season, tied with Obafemi Martins for a team high.
— Lamar Neagle this season against Chivas USA: game-winning assist (June 1), game-winning goal (July 28), game-winning goal (Sept. 4).
— Michael Gspurning earned his nine shutout of the season.
— Jhon Kennedy Hurtado played his 99th MLS game for the Sounders.
— A crowd of 38,317 was a season low (still impressive for a school night vs. a last-place team).
— Chivas USA fell to 1-9-4 on the road, winless in 12, having been outscored 26-11.
— Chivas USA is 0-10-1 when trailing at halftime.
