UPDATE 3:48 p.m. Monday — Andy Rose has received his green card and no longer counts as an international player on the roster.

The roster freeze happened to come on the same day as a “Best in the West” clash between Sounders FC and Real Salt Lake, so Seattle’s trade for Adam Moffat got a bit lost in the excitement.
Coach Sigi Schmid was still asked about the move after Friday’s win, particularly if it’s a move for the stretch run or more for the future.
“Obviously we think of it helping us, for sure, down the stretch run,” Schmid said. “Adam Moffat is a player I know well. I was the one who brought him into the league with Columbus. At the start of the season, when we won MLS Cup, he started the first six games for us this season and had a couple of goals, then (tore) his ACL. The last two years he’s been with Houston. He’s been a part of their team, when they’ve got to MLS Cup finals.
“He’s a competitor. It gives us a veteran guy in there, as well. Shalrie (Joseph) has been banged up with injuries on and off and then (Brad) Evans has sometimes been hurt, as well. But the way Andy (Rose) played tonight, I don’t think he wants anyone to move ahead of him in the game. I think you’ll like Adam — he is a good, hardworking player. We hated to lose Servando (Carrasco), because he is such a great person, a great kid and a very, very good player, but being able to add someone with Adam’s experience at this stage of the season, a guy who is been to MLS Cup finals, a guy who has a great shot from distance, who competes, who battles, it was something I thought we really couldn’t pass up.”
Schmid noted Moffat is a central midfielder who can play the defensive role and the more advanced role. The 27 year old can also play any of the position in a three-man midfield.
So here it is, Sounders FC’s roster through MLS Cup…
