Sounders FC vs. L.A. Galaxy, injury report

SOUNDERS FCOUT: M Shalrie Joseph (R knee sprain), GK Josh Ford (R patella fracture), F Will Bates (R knee surgery). QUESTIONABLE: M Brad Evans (L calf strain), GK Marcus Hahnemann (R knee injury), M Steve Zakuani (sports hernia surgery).

L.A. GALAXYOUT: D A.J. DeLaGarza (L elbow dislocation), M Robbie Rogers (L hamstring strain). QUESTIONABLE — F/M Landon Donovan (L ankle sprain).

Coach Sigi Schmid said Evans and Hahnemann would be traveling with the team to Los Angeles, though league pool goalkeeper Doug Herrick also made the trip after Hahnemann suffered his injury Monday in training.

Schmid said the veteran goalkeeper was “much, much, much better” Friday after having been limited throughout the week.

No indication was given as to Evans’ role, whether he’d be starting or coming off the bench. If he’s not able to start, Adam Moffat is an option (the new addition also traveled).

The coach wasn’t asked for an update on Zakuani after indicating not long ago that October might be when the midfielder could have an impact again.

Galaxy coach Bruce Arena told Seattle reporters that they are planning on Donovan playing, but Arena has been less forthcoming with L.A. media, indicating it will be a game-time decision.
