Sounders FC can reclaim the Cascadia Cup with a win or tie Wednesday
Portland and Vancouver played to wild 2-2 tie Sunday at BC Place, a game that featured three goals in a head-spinning span or about two minutes (full highlights above).
The result had some weighty Cascadia Cup implications.
First off, the Timbers will not be able to retain the trophy, regardless of what happens the next two games. Secondly, the Sounders can clinch this year’s competition with a win or tie at home Wednesday against the Whitecaps.
