Sounders FC vs. Colorado, lineups

rapids playoffs

Welcome to CenturyLink Field, where the Sounders host Colorado in the Western Conference knockout round at 7:30 tonight.

We have a regular-season capacity here — upper deck tarped off except the first few rows, Hawks Nest and lower bowl open — and Ticketmaster shows lots of tickets available. Seattle’s lowest playoff attendance was 34,941 in 2011, after a 3-0 beating against Real Salt Lake in the first leg of a conference semifinal.

Back to tonight, crazy how one team’s season will end in a few hours and the other team’s season could continues for another five-and-a-half weeks.

The winner hosts top seed Portland in the first leg of the conference semifinals at 7 p.m. Saturday, with the second leg at Jeld-Wen Field on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

The big question for the Sounders, who have led a playoff series just 10 of their 930 postseason minutes, is whether DP forward Obafemi Martins will be available. Since it’s a do-or-die game, you have to think if there’s any chance he could contribute, he’ll be on the bench.

Colorado, which hasn’t won a road playoff game since 2006, is expected to be without star rookie Dillon Powers (concussion).

We’ll find out about both around 6:30-6:45 when lineups come out.

NOTES: This is Seattle’s 39th lineup in 40 games in all competitions (34 in 35 in MLS). Still, it is very similar to Sunday’s lineup against the Galaxy, just changing left backs with Leo Gonzalez in for Marc Burch. Michael Gspurning stays in goal. Obafemi Martins is not available and Mauro Rosales starts out on the bench again.
