Sounders FC’s DeAndre Yedlin, Lamar Neagle named finalists for MLS awards

mls logo newSounders FC’s DeAndre Yedlin is a finalist for MLS Rookie of the Year and Lamar Neagle is a finalist for Comeback Player of the Year. Here is the MLS news release:

MLS release

Major League Soccer today announced the finalists for its 2013 awards. The winners for each award will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The finalists, listed in alphabetical order below for each award, earned the most votes in polling of three voting groups:

  • Current MLS players
  • MLS Clubs (Coaches, Technical Directors, Chief Business Officers and PR/Community Relations)
  • Media members who covered MLS regularly in 2013

This season’s most outstanding individual plays will be honored on Thursday, Dec. 5 when the AT&T Goal of the Year and the Save of the Year are announced. Voting for the Goal and Save of the Year is conducted on the League’s official web site MLSsoccer.com.

The awards announcements conclude on Thursday, Dec. 5 with the unveiling of the 2013 Volkswagen MLS Most Valuable Player.
