MLS adds three to Generation adidas class

mls logo newWith two days to go until the start of the MLS combine, the league has signed three more top prospects to its 2014 Generation adidas class: Christian Dean (a junior defender from Cal), AJ Cochran (a junior defender from Wisconsin), and Damion Lowe (a junior defender from Hartford).

Here is the full class of seven players:

D Christian Dean, Jr., Cal
D AJ Cochran, Jr., Wisconsin
D Damion Lowe, Jr. Hartford
GK Andre Blake, Jr., UConn
M Marlon Hairston, So., Louisville
D Eric Miller, Jr., Creighton
F Ntokozo “Schillo” Tshuma, So., Maryland

Also, 11 more players have been invited to the MLS combine starting Friday in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. — six college seniors and five youth internationals: John Berner (Southern Illinois), Marco Franco (UC Irvine), Richard Marquez (Redlands, Div. III), Martin Ontiveros (Furman), Justin Portillo (Coastal Carolina), Joshua Wood (Messiah University, Div. III), Braian Acuna (Argentina), Quinton C.E. Christina (Curaçao), Andre Lewis (Jamaica), Ronny Mendoza (Ecuador) and Stefano Rjssel (Suriname).

On a local note, Seattle Pacific University men’s soccer coach Mark Collings will coach one of the combine teams.
