MLS offseason tracker: Toronto FC makes big moves in Michael Bradley, Jermain Defoe

mls logo newThe MLS offseason has been a wild one, and not just in Seattle.

Toronto FC has made by far the most significant additions, acquiring U.S. men’s national team superstar Michael Bradley and English international Jermain Defoe (both were introduced in a press conference Monday). And that comes after signing Gilberto, a 24-year-old designated player, and former league MVP Dwayne De Rosario.

Keep in mind, the Reds first game this season is March 15 at CenturyLink Field.

Some other key moves? Well, Columbus has acquired the rights to USMNT defender Michael Parkhurst, a former MLS Defender of the Year, from the New England Revolution.

The Galaxy has also beefed up its front line by acquiring forwards Rob Friend (Canadian international) and Samuel (on loan from Fluminense).
