Galatasaray on Didier Drogba: ‘If he wanted out, he would have let us known.’

A Galatasaray spokesman appeared to pour some cold water on Didier Drogba‘s reported summer move to Sounders FC, as quoted by the website Turkish-Football.com.

beIN Sports and Total MLS had indicated Tuesday that the veteran forward was set to come to Seattle following the Turkish league season, when his current contract expires, but Galatasaray claims to have heard nothing about it.

Here are a few quotes from the spokesman from Turkish Football:

“We have not been informed of anything; the speculation sounds like speculation from the foreign press.”

“If he wanted out, he would have let us known; if he had agreed with a club from the US, he would talk to us about it first.”
