Camp roster: Gonzalo Pineda, John Arroyo added as Sounders FC trialists

As I noted in our story for Monday’s paper, the battle for the final spots on Sounders FC’s roster is going to be tight. And the competition looks even tighter after it was revealed that midfielders Gonzalo Pineda (a former Mexican international) and John Arroyo (a young Ecuadorian) have joined the team on trial.

It looks like the first cuts are taking place, too, as trialist Dzenan Catic, for one, tweeted that his time with the Sounders has come to an end. Tarek Morad, too.

Here is an updated roster with what we know (28 are under contract):
