Sounders’ third jersey set for March 3 release

The Sounders have retired the Super Cyan third jersey and will unveil a new alternate look in a private event at the CenturyLink Field Pro Shop on March 3, according to an MLS news release.

Indications, as seen below, are that Seattle’s new jersey will be black with a Rave green or yellow accent.

All 19 teams will have at least one new jersey for the upcoming season, and most will be unveiled during Jersey Week from March 3 to March 7 (San Jose and D.C. United already did their unveilings).

From the news release:

Every year will see a new thematic. This year’s theme, “Soccer, Made in North America,” will allow MLS clubs to share the story behind the making of their new jersey with their supporters and will focus on the art and detail that went into the collaborative process with adidas, MLS’ exclusive uniform supplier.

You can pre-order the gear here.
