Shalrie Joseph joins preseason camp with the New England Revolution

Sharlie Joseph is in preseason training camp with one MLS team while under contract with another. Sound familiar?

That was the manner in which the veteran midfielder joined the Sounders last year from Chivas USA and could be the way he leaves the Sounders, where he is currently under contract.

It was revealed Saturday that Joseph has joined the New England Revolution, his former team, on trial and could participate in a preseason game against Chivas USA, his other former team. Jeff Lemieux, who writes for the Revolution website, was the one who broke the news (see below).

I can’t imagine Seattle would expect much compensation in exchange for Joseph’s rights. Something to keep an eye on.
