Camp roster: Jimmy Ockford signed, loaned

Here is an updated look at Sounders FC’s camp roster after it was announced rookie defender Jimmy Ockford has signed with the team and loaned to the New York Cosmos of the second-division North American Soccer League for the 2014 season.

As a year-long loan, Ockford is not expected to take up a roster spot for Seattle. Currently, 28 players are signed, but Ockford and Sharlie Joseph won’t be expected to take up spots once the season starts. That potentially leaves four spots, but it’s possible not all of them will be filled to leave room for a midseason signing.

Here is a look at where things stand:
