A look at Sounders FC’s roster after the signing of Cam Weaver

The Sounders filled their 28th of 30 available roster spots Wednesday by signing forward Cam Weaver, who is flush with local connections (Kent native, Seattle U alum, former USL Sounder).

Two unsigned players remain in camp with two spots available, Kevin Parsemain and John Arroyo. Seattle has just one international slot, however, so it appears both can’t be added without some other moves.

I haven’t provided one of these roster updates since the buyout of Shalrie Joseph, so you’ll notice he is no longer listed below:

*     *     *

GOALKEEPERS (3): Marcus Hahnemann, Stefan Frei, Josh Ford

DEFENDERS (8): Jalil Anibaba, Chad Marshall, Leo Gonzalez, Dylan Remick, DeAndre Yedlin, Djimi Traore, Zach Scott, Damion Lowe%

MIDFIELDERS (12): Clint Dempsey, Brad Evans, Osvaldo Alonso, Aaron Kovar+, Andy Rose, Lamar Neagle, Tristan Bowen, Marco Pappa, Gonzalo Pineda, Fabio Pereira, Michael Azira, John Arroyo*

FORWARDS (7): Obafemi Martins, Sean Okoli+, Chad Barrett, Kenny Cooper, David Estrada, Cam Weaver, Kevin Parsemain*

ON LOAN FOR 2014 SEASON (2): Jimmy Ockford (New York Cosmos, NASL), Eriq Zavaleta% (Chivas USA, MLS)
