In a quick update after Friday’s practice, Sounders FC coach Sigi Schmid said that “Evans is a guy we’re still uncertain about at this stage.” It is not known yet if this injury could prevent Evans from joining the U.S. national team next week for Wednesday’s friendly against Mexico.

Another personnel note: While not injury related, Schmid had mentioned earlier this week that fitness is more the concern than injury for defender Leo Gonzalez, who is in the final stages of his recovery from offseason groin surgery. Both Gonzalez and Dylan Remick are expected to be available Saturday.

Lastly, Clint Dempsey will be serving the last game of his suspension and thus unavailable.
